Little Dresses for Africa is a crafting event to sew simple little dresses for the charity organization Little Dress for Africa. Join in the fun, be creative, and turn pillowcases into cute dresses for young girls in Africa.

WORKSHOP AND SCHEDULE DETAILS
Don’t know how to sew? Don’t own a sewing machine? Little Dresses for Africa is equipped with everything you need to sew a pillowcase dress!

Sew on the Go Workshop

Anytime between 10AM to 5PM

Are you an experienced sewer? Drop by anytime between 10AM to 4PM on December 3 to sew a dress or two at your own pace and then snack on some tasty baked goods. You will be provided with the pillowcase dress pattern and materials to sew two dresses.

Sewing is Sew Easy! Workshop

Morning Session          10AM – 1PM
Afternoon Session       1:30PM – 4:30PM

Are you new to sewing? If you have never used a sewing machine or if you want a refresher, this workshop is for you. The workshops are taught by crafty gals Kelly and Jenn, both passionate sewers. They will introduce to the ins and outs of a sewing machine and teach you to wind bobbin, thread, sew seams etc. At the end of the day, you’ll have a cute little dress and you can celebrate your sewing success with some tasty baked goods. You will be provided with materials to sew two dresses.

CLASS REGISTRATION
There are limited spaces in each workshop. To register for a class, send an email to emahlee @ gmail.com.

Please register before November 29, 2011, though the earlier the better (workshop space is on a first-come-first-served basis)!

CLASS FEE
Each workshop is $15. Class fees are payable by cash only and will be collected at the door on the day of the event. The class fee includes all materials required to sew two dresses and postal fees to ship your dresses to Africa.
